24
When 24 was first on the air, I watched the first season and liked it. After that, my parents kept watching and I gave up on it. Keifer Sutherland largely makes me irritated and if you missed a single episode the whole show was basically ruined. Anyway, Netflix is awesome because they put entire series of shows on the instant queue, which means I can watch them on my computer whenever I want. Shows like Buffy and LOST have all the seasons on there, and it's great. I recently discovered that 24 is one of those shows, and since there is nothing good on TV lately (seriously, nothing), I gave it a shot.
This show is like crack. Like, I don't want to do anything but watch this show all the time. I'm on season three right now, and I absolutely love it. I mean, okay, there are some parts that are stupid and I wish that sometimes it was just one storyline instead of four, especially because I usually hate at least one of the storylines (usually with his daughter Kim, lol). One positive thing is that so far, if there's a character I really hate, they usually die within that season or the next one. What's really funny is that my parents have seen all the seasons and I'm sure they want to tell me what happens, but so far they haven't. Although, I do usually find out from them if the characters I hate end up dying - usually they do.
Anyway, Netflix is amazing and I love the instant queue thing they came up with. It's genius.
I am currently downloading and tracking down movies that have been nominated for Golden Globes and I'm doing pretty good so far. There are a few that aren't even out in the theatres yet, and that is totally stupid. Alas, that is the problem every year during awards season. All it means is I have to make a few trips to the movie theatre, but that's okay by me - the ones that aren't out yet (Black Swan, The Fighter, Frankie and Alice, Burlesque) are all ones I want to see in the theatre anyway. So hooray! Wish me luck!!!
