LOST Season Six Premiere
Well, last night was the season premiere of the final season of LOST. I don’t really have much to say about it, but I will say this. There is nothing I hate more than a TV show that makes it seem like some discovery is a huge deal even though the audience totally knew it already. For example, we already knew that John Locke was in the casket and his body was inhabited by the smoke monster aka Mr. X. This was not surprising. At all. For me, it was also not surprising that there are now alternate timelines, one of which is on the island after the explosion and the other that restarts as if the crash never happened. I figured this out forever ago, for real. I do like that it seems as though everyone’s life is shittier now that they didn’t crash on the island – except Charlie, because being in jail is better than being dead, at least in my opinion. But Rose will be dying soon probably, and Jin is going to prison or something, and John Locke is still very sad, which makes me very sad.
But all in all, I was disappointed. They said there would be major information about the smoke monster, but like I said, it wasn’t anything that I didn’t already know, so… lame. The temple was pretty cool, and I like that Jacob talked to Hurley and Hurley’s character is starting to be super awesome. Hopefully they won’t drag out the big confrontation too long – especially because there’s no way Jacob is actually dead afterall, and we all know it. He isn’t human, just like Mr. X. Sayid is back, so that’s cool, but I was hoping maybe Charlie would come back or something. Instead, I just got like 20 minutes of Juliet after the producers promised she was already dead – although it is interesting that she somehow knew it worked and everything reset. Oh, and Sawyer should have murdered Jack – and why is Kate trying to mack on Sawyer so hard? It’s a little gross.
That’s all for now. I will rewatch the episode and write more later.
