My Favorite LOST Episodes

I couldn’t decide how many “favorite” episodes I would list, so I’ll just start and see how far I get. I could rank every episode, but that would take forever and I’m at work so it would be a massive waste of time. I am leaving out seasons four and five because yuck. The episodes are listed in order of awesomeness, so number 1 is my favorite episode.

1. The Pilot, Part 2
This is hands down my favorite episode. When Sawyer shoots the polar bear, when Michael finds the handcuffs and Sayid gets into a fight with Sawyer, Locke explaining backgammon to Walt, etc etc there is nothing that isn’t amazing about this episode.

2. The Moth
It surprises me that a Charlie episode is one of my favorites, but this one is great, especially the conversations between Charlie and Jack when they’re stuck in the cave together.

3. The Pilot, Part 1
It’s classic! And each time I watch it I come up with another theory or try to figure out if Jacob or Jacob’s nemesis is in the wreckage.

4. Walkabout
The first Locke episode! I wish I could put every Locke episode on here, but this one is truly the best.

5. The Man Behind the Curtain
Ahhhh, Ben. He became my favorite character the minute he was on the show pretending to be Henry Gale. Finally getting to hear his story is super cool and everything about this episode rocks.

Those are really my favorite episodes that I am able to put in order. The following episodes are also amazing but I am unable to put in any kind of rank order – they are all great!

- Adrift
I hate Michael episodes for the most part, but the scenes with Michael and Sawyer on the raft are hysterical. Plus in the “previously on LOST” you get to hear, “I’m gonna have to take the boy” and can laugh hysterically.

- Lockdown
Locke and Henry Gale plus the reflective map equals awesome!

- The Numbers
I love the numbers and I love Hurley. I wish the numbers would be actually explained for once – and no equation bullshit this time.

- Dave
Hurley is deliciously crazy and the guy from Sex and the City is so perfect in this role. I love seeing Hurley at Santa Rosa, especially when his psychiatrist shows him the picture of him without Dave there. Oooooh creepy.

- Orientation
Locke and Helen are very cute together, and this episode is full of those flashbacks. Seeing the orientation film for the first time – that Jack/Locke moment is sweet – and watching Desmond freak out about the broken computer… good times. Plus you learn a little about the tail section, but not enough so it’s still interesting.

- Enter 77
Mikhail rocks and so does this episode.

- Not in Portland
I hate Juliet. A lot, actually, but this episode gives the viewers so much more information and also shows the others off the island, which is cool. Plus, they made Juliet look really pretty and her husband gets hit by a bus!

- Par Avion
I also hate Claire episodes, but I’ve found myself watching it over and over for the flashbacks.

- Exodus, Part 1
Arzt gets blown up! That is only one of the things that is great about this episode – you also get tons of cool Locke/Jack moments.
