New Music I Like and other updates

I like finding new music, because finding something I really like doesn’t happen very often. So here’s what I’ve been listening to a lot lately:

- Jason Mraz. First of all, I like his last name, so he already gets points for that. I like that remedy song he did a few years ago, but he recently came out with “I’m Yours” and it is seriously my favorite song right now. It is happy and catchy and I really enjoy his voice. I downloaded the rest of his album and I’m listening to it right now – lots of brass and fun happy music – I also like “Coyotes” and a few others. He performed on SNL a week or so ago and he was amazingly good, and usually people are terrible on SNL. I mean seriously, TV on the Radio? Where are the people who actually like that music? Because it sucks.

- Lady Gaga. I have to admit, I hated the hell out of that stupid “Just Dance” song for awhile. But, like all good pop music, it gets in your head like a freaking virus and it worms it’s way through your brain until you start to like it despite your best wishes otherwise. It is in my head constantly and I like singing it. I also found out that she isn’t from England like I figured – she’s from New York and worked for Interscope where she wrote a bunch of Pussycat Dolls songs – that makes me happy. She also named herself after the Queen song “Radio Gaga,” and that is cool. I have also just downloaded her album and some of it sucks but it is disco-y pop and I love it. Plus I remember when she performed on So You Think You Can Dance and she said “pop music will never be low brow” and that makes me smile.

That’s what I’m listening to now. Other updates include:
- I want a Kindle 2 REALLY BAD
- The Grammys were fucking god awful
- I can’t believe Chris Brown beat up Rhianna she is super adorable
- I feel bad for Michael Phelps – although I suppose he’s dumb for getting caught
- Seth Meyers on SNL this past Saturday was hilarious. He was talking about how Obama said “I screwed up” about appointments, and Seth said something like, “Really? That’s a screw up? Cause the last guy who was president BROKE THE WORLD.” ahahahahaha.
